WBT&S Photos

This website was begun, in part, because there is an extreme lack of photographs and information on this railroad. I spent years scouring the internet and books looking for information. Here is all of the photos that I have found. Every effort has been made to correctly attribute ownership and identify the photographer. If you find mistakes, please let me know and I'll happily make corrections.

Special thanks to Murray Hammond at the Texas Transportation Archive. This site wouldn't be half of what it is without his support.

According to Bob Richardson, the trailer was used to haul USPS mail, LCL freight, and "non-whites." Bob also related a humorous tale of arriving in Livingston but not being allowed to the cross the T&NO tracks to the WBTS yard because they hadn't paid their fair share of the maintenance.  So, the crew jacked motorcar up off the rails and spun it around. Then did the same with trailer and drug it around to the back to "couple" on.
